Overview:
The Yamaha M-45 power amplifier part of Natural Sound Stereo series produced by Yamaha. Yamaha aim to reproduce the original sound of a recording. The Natural Sound series succeeds in doing this and allows people to enjoy the true sound of music in their own homes.
As a maker of musical instruments, Yamaha wanted to produce the "Natural Sound" of all the individual instruments contributing to a piece of music.
The M-45 was produced in 1986. This amplifier outputs 125 watts per channel with extremely low distortion.
It has outputs for speakers A and B. The circuitry provides pure Class A power amplification for output with low power requirements. To provide high power for transient peaks the circuit shifts to Class AB operation while the peaks last. When the switch is off this unit operates as Class AB.
Other features of this amplifier include meter on/off switch, speaker selection switches, and level controls. These controls give you independent left and right channel control over the input levels of the M-45.
This is a 120V unit from the US and will require a step down transformer.
A 500W step-down transformer can be purchase from Tortech in Australia for $69.90
Condition:
This amplifier has been test and is in good operational condition.
The front panel meter works as expected and the bars jump up and down to the amplifier load
